Private Client Services

We need to fully understand our clients situation, so that we can then provide appropriate advice with actions and recommendations suitable to their circumstances. Our services can best be described in two areas, Investment Advice and Personal Financial planning, both of which are applied to help produce the desired results.

Investment Advice - we establish and review investment portfolios on an advisory basis, specific to client objectives and attitude to risk.

Our portfolios start with consideration to cash balances required, and thereafter allocate monies to the main asset classes of equities, bonds and commercial property across geographical regions, industry sectors and Companies.

We do not operate model portfolios, where clients are usually offered usually a choice of three profiles, growth, income or balanced. Instead we construct tailored portfolios which hold collective investment funds such as Unit Trusts and Investment Trusts.

These can be held on efficient administration systems, some of which allow online viewing and access by clients.

The investment choices available are vast and can be complex for the personal investor. We use a variety of research and management tools, most but not all are technology based, which enable us to manage portfolios effectively and efficiently and report to our clients periodically.

This regular contact enables them to remain informed and us to update ourselves on their requirements which will be reflected in our advice.

Personal Financial Planning - strategic advice on personal financial management, including tax efficient investment products and specific actions.

Our advice is particularly relevant in changing circumstances such as the sale of a business, receipt of an inheritance, employment change or retirement when important decisions need to be made.

Consideration is given to all taxes that the individual may incur. Our advice can be of great importance in mitigating Capital Gains Tax, and Inheritance Tax in particular.

Financial advice does not necessarily mean purchasing financial products or spending money. Much of our advice is about a course of action, for example recommending that wills or Trusts be established.

Some of our advice may include financial risk management - insurance arrangements such as Life Assurance, Critical Illness and long term disability cover.
